The year was 1969 and, like many people, my life changed forever. Because of my experience illustrating books the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (better known as Kanoon) sent me to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Belgium to study animation and bring the art form back to share with the people of Iran. I’ve been making images move ever since.
